Quinx network adapters offer you all aids that are necessary, to integrate CNC controls into a network. Usually users run into problems with serial interfaces, such as: which pins of the interface are used, which invisible characters does the control need when it wants to load a program, etc. Quinx SCD and DITB adapters have the solution built-in:
- QuinxConfig - a software tool - helps you to configure the RS232 interface, the DNC parameters and the digital I/Os of the SCD adapters
- DNC interface - the RS232 interface is equipped with DNC functionality. This means that you can request or save your part programs from the keyboard of the control and the network adapter will allow you to work with logical identifications instead of the cryptical 4-digit NC program numbers.
- 2nd RS232 for barcode reader or terminal - these media are supported by Quinx applications DNC and MTM/MDC and need no extra software
- Line Monitor - by using the Internet Explorer you can monitor the data flow between machine and network adapter. Invisible characters that are necessary to know for a perfect data transfer become visible. This is necessary for the configuration of leader and trailer and saves you money for otherwise extra software.
- Parts counter - The digital I/Os can also be used as parts counters. In such a case, the adapter counts on any signal change automatically the produced parts and sends periodically the counter's value to the application. This helps to reduce network traffic, especially when parts in very short intervals are produced by high-speed machines.
